CKNX Radio News Interview

A Listowel girl hopes National Bullying Week gave people a glimpse of what it's like to live in fear.

Katie Neu is being home schooled because of what some of her peers put her through.

Among the teasing and riduculing from the bullies-- the 15 year old says they even tried to break her arm on one occaision.

Katie doesn't lash out on the people who attacked her-- She's not endorsing the old saying "An Eye For An Eye" -- rather it's a case of "The Pen is Mightier than the Sword."

Katie says National Bullying Week has ended-- but she hopes the message that violence leaves a permanent mark will echoe all year round.

She and her friend Robbie Frennette from New Brunswick developed a web-site- bullyingcanada.ca
as just one way to help victims and bullies get the help they need.

Katie's mother Marcia says even though her daughter is home-schooled-- she's not missing out on anything because she still has, "Real Friends" and that's all that matters.
